W3C (World Wide Web Consortium)

The World Wide Web Consortium is the main international organization responsible for developing web standards. It is lead by Tim Berner-Lee, inventor of the World Wide Web.

Standards overseen by W3C include HTML, CSS, HTTP and many others.
